Home Base is a location in Code Vein. This place serves as the protagonist's main operations hub.
After making their way out of the Ruined City Underground, Louis invites the protagonist and Io to his home base, which offers shelter and provisions to his cohort.
Facilities[]
You can purchase supplies from Coco and Rin Murasame using the Haze you've accumulated. Coco deals in consumables, while Murasame deals in equipment. Coco's stock expands as you progress the plot, while Murasame can sell you duplicates of most standard-issue weapons and palette-swaps of Blood Veils that you've found on your journey. Murasame can also upgrade your equipment and even use Chromes to alter their properties.
Davis is your main point of entry to The Depths, which serve as bonus levels that hold unique treasures and rematches with bosses you've already defeated. The mirror and bathtub allows you to change your character's appearance. Unlike the initial character creation, you cannot change your character's physique or facial structure. You can, however, load other appearances that you have saved.
The hot springs let you re-watch cutscenes you have already seen. If you've died and don't want to return to a dangerous area to reclaim your Haze, resting at the hot springs lets you recover half of what you've lost. Speak with Io to restore any Vestiges from parts that you have found on your journey. You can also speak with your allies to exchange valuables with them. Different individuals respond differently to different valuables; you'll earn more trade points for giving them their favorite types of items. The trade points can then be exchanged for various things including that ally's special weapon or unique Chromes for transformation purposes. Initiate training near the punching bag to test your equipment and skill loadouts. The punching bag cannot be inflicted with debuffs nor will it strike back for parry/blocking/dodging practice. The whiteboard gives you a hint on where to go to proceed with the plot.
Equipment Upgrades[]
Upgrades to your equipment will provide a multiplier to your attack and Gift stats. Other properties like defenses, weight, and stat scaling grades remain the same.

Equipment Transformation[]
In addition to upgrading your equipment which improves their base attack stats, Rin can use Chromes to apply transformations to your weapons or Blood Veils to change their properties. These Chromes are usually obtained through trading with your allies, but the Isis, Fionnn, Scathach and Harmonia Chromes can be obtained from enemies in the Cathedral of the Sacred Blood, Ridge of Frozen Souls, City of Falling Flame and Crown of Sand respectively.
Transformation takes 10,000 Haze and a Chrome to use. You can erase an equipment's Transformation at the cost of 2500 Haze, but you won't get the Chrome back.
