The Ruined City Center is one of the explorable areas in the game. The area has tall buildings, skyscapers pierced by Thorns of Judgement and an underground car parking lot. There are many hiding spots formed by rubble, perfect for enemies to launch sneak attacks.
The City Center is the first location accessed by the protagonist and Louis in search for Bloodsprings and to trace the source of the Bloodbeads. This is first accessed through a long tunnel leading from the Outer Crossroads at the end of the Ruined City Underground.
The route through the City Center takes the player through several ruined multi-storey carparks and a ruined park. At the end of the City Center is the Butterfly of Delirium, which guards the path forward into the Dried-up Trenches. There is a side path that leads to the Howling Pit as well. Once both of those areas are completed, the player is clued in to a switch behind a statue that opens the path to the Cathedral of the Sacred Blood.
